Editorial standards
How Provena researches, reviews, updates and corrects its public guidance.
Our aim is to help a B2B operator make a better decision. Clear evidence matters more than volume, novelty or a search phrase. These standards apply to every guide, comparison, case study and research page published by Provena.
Reviewed against current Google Search and Bing Webmaster guidance on 27 August 2026. Reuse terms added 20 September 2026.
Purpose and information gain
Every page must help an intended Provena reader complete a defined task or buyer decision. A new article must add original analysis, a documented workflow, first party evidence, a useful decision framework or another contribution that is not already available from the cited sources.
Sources and evidence
We prefer statutes, regulator guidance, official product documentation and directly attributed client evidence. External claims link to the source that supports them. We remove a claim when we cannot verify it.
Comparisons and selection
Comparison articles explain who each option fits, the practical tradeoffs and the method used to build the shortlist. Paid placement does not determine inclusion or order. Product details are checked against current vendor documentation.
Automation and human review
Structured tools can help organise research and maintain consistent page data. A named Provena author remains responsible for the audience, question, method, original contribution, sources, limitations, conclusions and publication decision.
Search and generative visibility
Provena follows the same people first principles for ordinary search, answer engines and generative search. We do not create a page for every wording of a query, pad copy to meet an artificial length, invent mentions or add unsupported schema for artificial intelligence systems.
Images and company references
Preferred article images should represent the subject rather than repeat a logo or headline. Company marks may identify referenced products, but they do not imply endorsement. Images use descriptive alternative text, explicit dimensions and crawlable source files.
Corrections and updates
Every article shows a modification date. We update material changes to regulation, product capability and Provena evidence. A weekly source audit flags missing cited pages for review, while access denials remain inconclusive. Readers can send a correction to info@provena-ai.com for review.
Commercial disclosure
Provena provides outbound and software services. Articles may explain where that service fits, but a managed service is not presented as a software product. One clear service link may appear when it helps the reader make the next decision.
Reuse and attribution
Charts, tables and figures from Provena research may be reproduced free of charge, in whole or in part, in any medium, provided the reproduction credits Provena and links to the study page it came from. Every study chart carries an embed snippet with that credit built in, and each dataset is published as a CSV under the same terms. The machine readable licence is at /rsl.xml. For any other use, write to info@provena-ai.com.
Results and limitations
Client results use only facts published in our case study data. They describe individual engagements, not a guaranteed result or a universal benchmark. Our public results dataset preserves that distinction.
Measurement and revision
Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, analytics and verified field measurements guide changes. We compare equivalent periods, preserve unknowns as unknown and merge, narrow or retire pages when evidence shows duplicate intent or weak usefulness.
